6.096 scheduling change

It has been brought to my attention that 6.096 is starting to pile up
big-time. In an effort to restore some sanity to your lives, I'm
going to reschedule the next several weeks. A revised calendar will
be forthcoming soon, but here are the highlights:

This week's problem set, Scribble, will be due on Wednesday 29 October
rather than on Monday. This should give those of you who are feeling
behind on the lab some extra time to get prepared/get through it. It
should also ease the anticipated Thursday lab crunch.

Next week's problem set, Cat and Mouse, will be postponed until the
following week. We will still be handing it out tomorrow, so those
who wish may begin work sooner, but the laboratories will be held the
week of 3 November. (Anyone wishing to begin lab earlier is
encouraged to do so. Certainly, the preparation for lab can take some
time.) Cat and Mouse will be due on Wednesday, 12 November.

The final problem set, Shared Whiteboard, will be merged with the
Final Project. The assignment will be handed out on 5 November.

Lab will be staffed during the week of 27 October, although no
assigned laboratory will take place during that week. (My expectation
is that early in the week, people will be finishing up Scribble, and
later in the week, people will be beginning Cat and Mouse.)

There will be no problem set due on 3 November. This is the date of
the second exam.

The lecture scheduled for 29 October will be an optional quiz review.
However, note that there is a problem set due that day, so you should
come to class at least to drop off the problem set and perhaps to pick
up handouts.

Some of the lecture topics will also be shifted to accommodate these
scheduing changes.

p.s. Please still respond to my previous message regarding lab
partners, etc., ASAP, as I'd like to get the C&M problem set
partnerships set up tomorrow!
